Q1: Do you use soap when you hand wash the filter?
A: Hello! No soap needed, be sure to clean and rinse immediately after brewing. This prevents the filter from clogging over time. A simple brush (a toothbrush works great too) will do the trick.
Q2: Is there any plastic in the stainless steel filter, and if so, is it BPA free?
A: There is no plastic in the filter, it is all stainless steel. I believe that even though there is a handle with BPA, it will never touch the coffee.
